Latest Update

Since we opened in May 2012 we have fed 9,977 people, 3,904 of whom are children.

From April 2013 we have collected 66,720kg of food, all of which has been generously donated, and then dated , sorted and stacked by our fantastic team of volunteers, before being given out in foodparcels.

Unfortunately we often have shortages of key items to put in the parcels. We always need UHT milk, toilet rolls, tinned fish, tinned fruit and biscuits. We also try to give out toiletries when we can and are paricularly short of toothpaste and shower gels.

Thank you so much to everyone who helps us. We couldn't do it without you!

Real stories

Read real stories of lives changed by the foodbank

Melissa was our first client at the new Queensferry distribution centre. She is a single parent with two children.

" I found myself in the unfortunate situation where a number of bills all came out of my account at once - a couple of them had increased as well. I was asked if I needed some help with the weekly groceries until I got my finances back on track. It was such a weight lifted off my shoulders to be able to feed the family and have nappies for my baby. I am so grateful to Foodbank and for the help they have provided."
